The inaugural East Midlands Education Showcase is scheduled to take place at the Nottingham Belfry Hotel on Sunday 14th September 2008 from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m..

The Education Showcase is designed as a shop-window for independent and specialist schools, offering prospective parents the chance to get an overview of as many schools as possible, enabling them to create a shortlist of places to visit on School Open Days.

The Showcase will also feature peripheral services; tuition agencies, extra-curricular organisations, and there will be a special section for Adult Education providers.

The cost of a simple table-top exhibit is £ 400 + VAT. For smaller schools, we offer a Shared-Table facility where you will be paired with a non-competing exhibitor (primary paired with secondary school, or a school paired with a tennis coaching service, for example).

We will be promoting the Show through the following channels:-

- Advertising in local Lifestyle magazines and newspapers

- Direct mail campaign to local companies, with the emphasis on major employers, law and accountancy firms, local government offices, Rotary Clubs, private hospitals etc.

- Poster campaign in upscale suburbs and villages, as well as establishments such as libraries, golf clubs,health clubs etc.

- Flyers provided free of charge to all participating schools, to be distributed to parents, in the hope that they will be passed on to friends, colleagues, and neighbours who are looking into independent or specialist schools

- Web site promotion

ABOUT THE VENUE

The Nottingham Belfry is a modern, 4-star hotel located close to the M1. There is ample free parking on site, and there will be no admission charge to the Show, which we hope will encourage attendance. Our aim is to provide a lively event which will provide an effective, value-for-money marketing tool to Schools and a useful service to potential students and their parents. We hope that the Show will become an annual event.

SHOW PARTICIPATION; PRICES

Full participation £ 400.00 + VAT

The price includes the following:-

- Exhibition space of approximately 3m x 2.5m

- Table and four chairs

- Participation of up to two delegates from your School

- Detailed entry and description of your School in the Show Catalogue

- Ongoing Tea and Coffee service and Sandiwich Lunch for delegates

Shared-table option £ 220.00 + VAT per exhibitor

Includes the above features, but sharing one exhibition space with a non-competing exhibitor. Half of the table and two chairs will be allocated to each sharing exhibitor, and participation includes one delegate per sharing company. Please note that with this option, it is not possible to bring your own free-standing display, or to have any kind of AV presentation.

The School Library £ 50.00 + VAT per exhibitor

For schools unable to attend on the day, we offer a Brochure Display service called The School Library. A basic entry in threShow catalogue is also included for Schools participating in this service.

Exhibition Space consists of an area approximately 3 metres x 2.5 metres.

One rectangular table and four chairs will also be provided.

If you wish to set up a Stand-Alone Exhibition Display, please furnish details to us in advance.

Exhibition Space includes participation fees for a maximum of two delegates per School.

BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS;

FOR EVENTS ORGANISED BY ADELANTA Events (Adelanta Travel Services Limited).

ADELANTA reserves the right at its sole discretion to reject an application if the Event is oversubscribed or if ADELANTA considers that any applicant’s products are not compatible with the theme of the Event.

The Applicant shall not use its participation in the Event to promote any goods or services other than those specified on the Application Form.

ADELANTA reserves the right at its sole discretion:

i) To withdraw its acceptance of the booking if the participation charge has not been received in full prior to the commencement date of the Event.

ii) To cancel or to change the date(s) and/or the venue of an Event.

In the case of ii) above, ADELANTA’s total liability shall be limited to refunding the participation charge or any part of it which has already been paid to ADELANTA by the Applicant.

Applications may only be cancelled before 11th July. In the case of cancellation by the applicant, ADELANTA reserves the right to impose such charges as are necessary to cover costs incurred as a result of the cancellation. ADELANTA will attempt to re-sell the space but if unable to do so prior to the commencement date of the Event, the Applicant shall be liable for 100% of the participation charge.

Applicants may not assign their booking or sub-let space allocated to them without the prior written consent of ADELANTA.

ADELANTA reserves the right to determine the overall layout of the Event generally and the allocation of space to Applicants.

Upon acceptance of the Applicant’s booking, ADELANTA will provide each Applicant with deadline dates for the receipt of information required by ADELANTA to organise the Event. ADELANTA shall use reasonable efforts to accommodate any requests by the Applicant received prior to the deadlines but shall be under no obligation to accept or act on any information or requests received thereafter.

ADELANTA accepts no liability whatsoever for

a) any damage, loss or delay suffered by the Applicant caused by circumstances beyond the reasonable control of ADELANTA including, but not limited to, industrial action, fire, flood, riot, governmental or other regulation, civil commotion, malicious damage, terrorist acts, weather or Act of God; or

b) any loss, injury, theft or damage of any kind to any of the Applicant’s property.

The Applicant hereby indemnifies ADELANTA against all liabilities, costs, claims, demands, actions, damages or proceedings arising from damage to property or persons caused or alleged to have been caused by the Applicant.

The Applicant is advised to arrange appropriate insurance cover for participation in the Event.
