Conferences, Incentives and Meetings throughout Europe. MALTA WEEKEND Suggested Itinerary DAY ONE Travel to Malta. On arrival, join your private coach and Local Guide for the transfer to your seaside hotel. A sightseeing tour en route to the hotel will show you some of the highlights of the island. There will be photo-stops along the way before you arrive at your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is at leisure. The hotel's facilities include a superb spa as well as poolside and beach activities. Dinner will be served in the hotel or at a nearby restaurant this evening. DAY TWO Buffet Breakfast is served in the hotel. Meeting-room facilities are available this morning (theatre-style set up, basic meeting package; catering facilities and specialist equipment can be provided if required, with an additional cost). We can offer:- In the footsteps of the Knights The Knights of St John of Malta have been part of the island's history since the sixteenth century. As leaders of the fight between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire, the Knights were leading figures in European politics through the ages, and the presence of their headquarters on Malta bought fame and prestige to the island. Your tour of Valletta, named after one of the most famous of the Knights, will include a visit to the hospital and fortifications which they built, the Cathedral, their houses, and other reminders of their life here. Highlight of the trip will be a harbour cruise, to see the city from the water. Mdina and Rabat This tour visits the former capital of the island, perched high on a hill in the centre of the island. Stroll through quaint cobbled streets, visit the cathedral and museum, as well as one of the elegant mansions belonging to Malta's aristocracy. In Rabat, see the historic catacombs and visit the botanic gardens. This evening, Dinner will be served in a prestigious local restaurant. DAY THREE Buffet Breakfast is served in the hotel. Join one of our activity programmes this morning; we offer:- Treasure Hunt See the sights of the island from an unusual perspective this morning, as you follow a trail of clues across Malta to find the hidden treasure! Jeep safari This morning, cross to the neighbouring island of Gozo for a jeep safari to see the salt pans, rugged cliffs and quaint villages. Highlight of the day will be wine-tasting in a local vineyards.
Time at leisure for lunch, before rejoining your private coach for the transfer to Malta Airport. |
