BURGUNDY TOUR AND TASTE

A restful itinerary, based throughout in one of France's most important wine-producing regions. Tours of private vineyards, tastings, a cooking class with a local chef, and a visit to Lyon, gourmet capital of France, for lunch at the restaurant of one of the country's leading chefs, are all included in your tour.

 CUISINE OF ITALY

The tour covers Northern Italy and includes all of the centres known for their cuisine; Milan, Bologna, Tuscany and Venice. The variety of specialty foods in this relatively small region is quite astonishing, and the tour serves to instruct as well as entertain! Cooking classes can be included in one of our Tuscan villas or at the Cordon Bleu School. We recommend a maximum of ten participants for this tour, in order to be able to eat in the smaller and more delightful restaurants, and to stay in our favourite villa-hotels.

 A GOURMET TOUR OF IRELAND

Ireland is one of the hidden gems of European cuisine; based as it is on exquisite fresh local produce, the local cooking is flavoursome and hearty. Two days at a local cooking school are included in this tour; accommodation is in country-house hotels renowned for their food and service; and you will enjoy eating in some of the 'undiscovered', out-of-the-way restaurants beloved of the locals, but well off the normal tourist track.

 A TASTE OF TUSCANY

This is a two-centre trip; the first half of the itinerary is based in Florence, where it features cooking classes, a gourmet walking tour, meals in local trattorie and fine restaurants. The second half of the programme is spent in the Tuscan countryside, based in a villa-hotel. There are daily visits to local vineyards, plus olive oil mills and cheese-makers, together with tours and tastings hosted by specialist local culinary producers.

Our gourmet tours can be combined with other areas of interest; gardens, antiques, art or music itineraries work well together with a Gourmet programme. Tours can be customised to suit your party's budget and time-frame.
