"This is just a note to say how much our ten members who attended on Saturday enjoyed the experience. The whole day was very well organised and very good value for money, especially the refreshments etc. A lot of hard work had obviously gone into the planning of such a big event. It was also an inspired choice to get Mike Brewer 'on board'. The Armed Man is a wonderful piece, and although we had sung it before it was great to be in such a big choir. "It was nice to see the Choirs in Quiet Places team again. We enjoyed the day very much. One of the local Basses took us all back for tea and a warm-up at his house. He and his wife were most gracious hosts. It's moments like that that make an occasion special. And it's always fun to work with Mike".

"Thank you for a wonderful day yesterday. The Minster School Orchestra was superb, and it was heartening to see young people singing in the choir. I have always wanted to sing 'The Armed Man', so to learn and perform it in one day was a great achievement by everybody. It was also a privilege to be conducted by Mike Brewer - I think we all learnt a lot from him and from the soloists who took the sessions."

"I want to thank you most sincerely for a wonderful day last Saturday. It was truly inspirational! I have to admit that I started the day with a degree of reticence, as it was the middle of winter, cold and I was uncertain about many things, but it finished with great exhilaration. When we got home, the first thing we did was to play the CD and sing it all again, even though it was past midnight! Please arrange more events like this! I can guarantee full support".
