P R O G R A M M E

9.00 Please be at the Minster School in Southwell, ready to begin rehearsals.

The Massed Choir will rehearse with Mike Brewer this morning.

The Orchestra will rehearse with Duncan Lloyd.

Break for lunch (We may provide a Lunch Service at the Minster School if there is sufficient demand)

2.00 Walk across to Southwell Minster to begin joint rehearsals of the Choir and Orchestra.

Break for Tea (We may provide a Light Meal service at the Minster School if there is sufficient demand)

6.00 Changing facilities are available for all singers.

7.00 Performance of Karl Jenkins’s ‘The Armed Man’ in Southwell Minster.

Sunday 11th January

Whole choirs which have participated in yesterday's event can choose to have a private workshop with Mike Brewer (additional cost).

The Choirs in Quiet Places Festival is open to accomplished choirs and individual singers of all ages and all types.

Adults £20.00 per person

Under-18s £12.00 per person

Choirs; For every ten paying participants, the eleventh person is free

GUEST DIRECTOR

 We are thrilled to announce that the Guest Director for the 2009 Festival will again be Mike Brewer OBE.

Firmly established as a leading figure in the choral world, Mike Brewer is Musical Director of the National Youth Choir of Great Britain. He has directed the World Youth Choir and the National Youth Chamber Choir, now known as Laudibus, which has a busy programme of recordings and performances. He is a frequent guest conductor with prominent youth and adult choirs and loves conducting large numbers of performs in Festivals and concerts.

Each choir participating in the Festival will have the opportunity for an individual Workshop with Michael Brewer, in addition to working with him in the Mass Choir rehearsal and Concert. Please also contact us for your customized performing group tours throughout Europe
