BUDAPEST WEEKEND Suggested Itinerary DAY ONE Travel to Budapest On arrival, join your private coach and Local Guide for the transfer into the city. A sightseeing tour en route to the hotel will show you the highlights; the Parliament Building, the Royal Castle, the Fishermen's Bastion, the Matthias Church, Heroes' Square and the Citadel. There will be photo-stops along the way before you arrive at your centrally-located hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is at leisure. Dinner will be served in the hotel or at a nearby restaurant this evening. DAY TWO Buffet Breakfast is served in the hotel. Meeting-room facilities are available this morning(theatre-style set up, basic meeting package; catering facilities and specialist equipment can be provided if required, with an additional cost). The afternoon is at leisure for your own interests; or why not join one of our Walking Tours for a special insight to Budapest? We can offer:- Within the Medieval walls; Pest's Old Town The Castle District in-depth Watertown and Old Buda 19th-century Budapest and Art Nouveau This evening, Dinner will be served in a prestigious local restaurant. DAY THREE Buffet Breakfast is served in the hotel. Join one of our sightseeing tours this morning; we offer:- Szentendre Drive along the valley of the Danube to the quaint artists' village of Szentendre. Enjoy a walking tour of the Baroque treasures of the town, and visit the Ceramic Museum. For groups with a late flight today, it is possible to return to Budapest by boat. Country Puszta Drive out to the Great Plain of central Hungary to see displays of traditional horsemanship. Stop in at the lovely town of Kecskemet, famous for its beautiful buildings and delicious apricot brandy! Time at leisure for lunch, before rejoining your private coach for the transfer to Budapest Airport. Paprika and Wine Visit the town of Kalocsa, known as the Capital of Paprika. Visit the Paprika Museum and see how this traditional spice is prduced. In Hajoes, enjoy a tasting of local vintages at a traditional wine-cellar. Later, return to Budapest to begin your homeward journey. |
