A Short Break in Belgium
Day One
On arrival in Bruges, met your private Guide and Driver and transfer through the charming and historic streets of the Old Town to your hotel. Dinner awaits at your hotel.
Day Two
This morning you will take a short walking tour with your Private Guide around the streets of this lovely little town. Also included is a canal-boat ride, to see Bruges from a different angle. The rest of the day will be at leisure for you to enjoy the gentle ambience of Bruges, with its sensation of having stepped into the pages of a history book. A Dinner reservation has been made for you at one of Bruges' best restaurants tonight.
Day Three
This morning you will join your Driver and Guide for the journey to the bustling town of Ghent. Your sightseeing tour will include the Cathedral, the Belfry, the Town Hall, the St Michel Bridge, with its wonderful views, and the lovely old houses of the Quai aux Herbes. Free time to explore on your own before you continue to Antwerp, where you will visit the former home of the artist Rubens, now a museum. Antwerp is a busy metropolis with several historic districts. Free time for shopping and exploration before you return to Bruges for dinner and overnight.
Day Four
Today you will visit Brussels, capital of Belgium, and one of the centres of the European Economic Union. Your sightseeing tour will include the Atomium, Royal Palaces, Cathedral of St Michael, the Mannekin-Pis and the beautiful Grand’ Place with its lovely old guild houses. Free time to shop for antiques, tapestries and lace, and perhaps take time to have a delicious lunch in one of the many excellent restaurants, before you return to Bruges for dinner and overnight.
Day Five
An early start this morning as you travel to the Airport or Station to begin your journey home.
