Adelanta Travel Services Limited was founded in 1989 to provide customized travel programmes in Britain and Europe. Our original clients were mostly overseas travel agents and tour operators who wished to provide a tailor-made service to their customers, and Adelanta met, and continues to meet to this day, the need for unusual, special-interest and off-the-tourist track itineraries. Each tour that we design and operate is specifically created for a particular party; we work both with groups and individuals or small family groups with very specific requirements which often cannot be met by a standard, 'picked from a brochure' tour.

Adelanta has a highly professional team of Local Guides and Tour Managers based all over Europe. These wonderful individuals are all licensed as guides and group leaders in their home territory, and their local expertise and personal charm are essential to the success of our programmes. Many of the groups which travel with us on a regular basis have a close relationship with a particular guide, and often schedule their tour around when 'their' guide is available.

Adelanta works with a variety of hotels throughout Britain and Europe. To cope with the different requirements of our travellers, these hotels range from 3-star standard to 5-star Deluxe; but they all have certain things in common; a great location, professional staff, and a warm welcome to guests. Adelanta's philosophy is that location is crucial; and our staff have the expertise to know personally the hotels to which we send our clients. Every hotel looks great in its own brochure; we know the true story, and we can direct our clients to the 'hidden gems' instead of the places which just look great on the outside.

In addition to our original travel services, we at Adelanta have in recent years developed a successful Event Organisation business. Our first Events mostly took place overseas; Concert tours for Choirs, Bands and Orchestras; Corporate Meetings and Incentives for the business traveller. We are now working closer to home, developing a series of Consumer Events in the UK.

The Specialist European Group Tour Operator; how Adelanta Travel Services works

Adelanta Travel Services is a land tour operator specializing in customized European travel. We work with any size of group travelling in Western Europe, and handle both corporate travel and leisure passengers.

We do not operate scheduled tours. We will discuss with you the type of programme that your group is looking for and will then put together a customized itinerary which can be presented to your group for their own personalization before a tour is finalized.

Adelanta is a wholesaler to the travel industry. We are IATA registered.

Pricing

We deal with groups of all standards, from student groups on a very limited budget through to the deluxe type of programme, and everything in between.

Although we rarely operate two identical tours, we have volume discounts in many hotels in major British and European cities and are able to pass these special prices on to our clients.

Please contact us for a costing for your British and European groups. We make no charge to provide you with creative ideas for some wonderful itineraries, and would welcome the opportunity to show you what we can do.

Please note: We do not handle air transportation, but will take care of your group from the moment it arrives anywhere in Western Europe.

Security

When you deal with Adelanta Travel Services your money is protected under the European Community Package Travel directive. Our clients' funds are kept in a special Customer Deposit (Escrow) Account until after the group has travelled.

We regret that we do not sell places on our tours. All programmes are customized to meet the needs of specific, pre-formed groups.

THE SMALL PRINT; OUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS

RESERVATIONS

All reservation instructions must be received by us in writing via mail or facsimile.

HOTELS

Adelanta Travel Services Limited reserves the right to substitute hotels when necessary.

PAYMENTS

INDIVIDUAL RESERVATIONS The schedule of payments will be advised at the time of booking.

GROUP RESERVATIONS Our schedule of payments is as follows:-

GBP 500 at the time of confirmation to secure reservations.

30% of the expected invoice total 60 days prior to arrival.

Full balance payable 30 days prior to arrival.

There may be other payment requirements for certain groups, especially where theatre tickets and other tour features have to be pre-purchased. Such requirements will be advised at the time of confirmation. Payment must be received in GBP. We do not accept credit cards.

CANCELLATIONS

In the event of a cancellation of group arrangements, refunds will be made as follows:-

More than 3 months prior to arrival; Refund of all monies paid less GBP 500.

More than 4 weeks prior to arrival; Refund of all monies paid less GBP 750.

Less than 4 weeks prior to arrival; Refund of all monies paid less GBP 1000, and less any amounts required by us to honour commitments with the suppliers entered into by Adelanta Travel Services.

There may be other cancellation penalties, especially in the case of pre-purchased theatre tickets, details of which will be given on request. In the event of partial cancellation of a group, refunds due will be calculated in such a way as to protect the cost of the tour for those passengers still travelling. Adelanta Travel Services will always strive to offer the maximum refund possible, and will negotiate will suppliers accordingly.

ITINERARY

Changes to the agreed Itinerary may not be made once the tour has begun, unless authorised in writing by Adelanta Travel Services. Company Drivers and Tour Managers do not have authority to change the itinerary. Adelanta Travel Services shall not be held liable for any incidents arising from an unauthorised change of itinerary.

RESPONSIBILITY

Adelanta Travel Services Limited gives notice that all arrangements for transport and conveyance and for hotel accommodations and for any other services are made by them as agents upon the express condition that they shall not be held liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity howsoever caused.

NOTES

Unless expressly stated to the contrary by Adelanta Travel Services, baggage is at owner's risk throughout.

All clients are strongly recommended to take out travel insurance.

Any contract entered into will be subject to English law and jurisdiction.

The payment of monies to Adelanta Travel Services for tour services implies acceptance of the above Terms and Conditions.

SPECIAL-INTEREST EUROPEAN TRAVEL PROGRAMMES
